We had a an enthusiastic group of diners last Friday evening. The Cream of Celery soup and the Beef Barolo on Polenta seemed to be crowd pleasers.
This coming Monday, October 13th, Osteria Chiara's Steve Ferraris will be teaching a Ragu Bolognese class at the Lebanon COOP's Culinary Learning Center. You get to learn hands-on and you get a delicious dinner! Hope to see many of you there.

Learn the ingredients and steps to prepare classic Ragù Bolognese. Fabulous on pasta or take your lasagna to another level! Bolognese takes time, so while the sauce simmers we will make fresh ricotta and fresh pasta dough to create Lasagna Bolognese.

All Co-op classes take place in the Culinary Learning Center located in our Lebanon StoreCome to class prepared to learn and eat! All classes include extensive samples or a meal. We are preparing for an exciting evening THIS Friday,  October 3rd! This is a one-time Friday dinner. Usually we have the dinners on Saturday evenings but this week it's Friday. We still have a few seats if you want to have the "Osteria Chiara experience".

We all had a great dinner in June, enjoying gorgeous summer weather and good company and my favorite dish of the night, the Italian Pesce Crudo, otherwise known as ceviche! The crudo included Red Snapper, Swordfish and Sea Bass. Our next dinner is coming right up on Saturday, July 12th. We are all very excited about welcoming our guests, as is the Osteria Chiara custom, with freshly baked wood-oven pizza as the first of many antipasti.

Now for the big news! Instead of having our usual first Saturday of the month dinner in August, we are having a very special event on Sunday August 10th. Our friend and Steve's musical colleague, the extraordinary Italian pianist/singer/songwriter Raphael Gualazzi will play a special concert at Osteria Chiara. Raphael has established himself as a prominent artist on the European circuit over the last four years. Don't miss this special opportunity to experience his prowess up close and personal on Sunday August 10th. Also, the pizza oven will be fired up and cooking pizza.

We have always tried to give our guests an authentic Italian dining experience at Osteria Chiara.
We now have the opportunity to offer you a truly authentic Italian musical experience by presenting our friend and Steve’s musical colleague Raphael Gualazzi in concert at the Osteria in August for an evening/afternoon of virtuoso piano playing and original music by this extraordinarily talented musician.
Raphael is now very popular in Europe based on his winning the Italian San Remo singer/songwriter contest in 2010 and then representing Italy in the Eurovision contest in 2011. He was the first Italian invited to the Eurovision contest in 14 years and he placed 2nd!

There will be lawn seating for picnic blankets and bring your own folding chairs.

Our May dinner was, by all accounts, one of our best efforts to date. 
We have just a few seats open for June 7, and our summer dates have been decided: July 12 and August 2. Please reserve now so you won't be disappointed! Reminding you we offer the least expensive trip to Italy you will ever take. As you arrive in our backyard we await you with culinary delights and surprises straight off the best Italian menus and beyond. We feature many local products and this summer we hope to be harvesting many items right from our own garden. Steve has been taste-testing many menus since last month's extravaganza, and is continually inspired by what he finds in the marketplace near and far. Linda's desserts continue to amaze and delight, whether she's featuring the fruit in season, another tantalizing morsel di cioccolato or her panna cotta - a favorite of many. The wood-fired foccacia last month was the best yet. After two and a half years, we are all still in the midst of perfecting our arts. Hope you can join us soon. Bring your friends, plan your evening. For our repeat guests - we again thank you for your support and enthusiasm. If you haven't visited us yet, it's high time you come find out what everyone has been talking about.
